It is a wonderful problem to have – too many clients and not enough time. It means your design business has really taken off. As your popularity increases, you’ll have to decide which clients you will help and which you will turn away. Some potential clients want just the bare bones for their website design. Others have a fair amount of creativity but are scared to take the leap by themselves. These types of prospective clients would probably do just fine on their own.

Or, offer to act as a mentor. You can still bring in a few dollars without devoting a lot of time.If you feel potential clients could handle things on their own, it would be nice to offer some suggestions on where to begin. Here are some free, easy-to-use sites services that will help a small business owner get a contact website up and running.

Cardcloud

Cardcloud is an easy to use site which allows users to make an online business card. Cardcloud also connects the “vcard” to social networks. The site is extremely user friendly and simple. The con of Cardcloud is that users can’t really add too much more information beyond the business card information. This site provides a quick way to share business information with others.

DooID

DooID describes themselves as “your personal website and contact hub”. Users can take either the free or paid route. As is always the case with a free and paid option, the free version is simpler. DooID does a great job with connecting to social networks and has a very colourful and variable interface. Users will be able to easily personalize their page. Like Cardcloud, the site gives the option to download a free ‘vcard’.

About.me

Similar in scope to Cardcloud and DooID, About.me lets users post their business or personal information and then connect the page to social networks. Users can easily personalize and add other links to the page. It’s easy and fast, but may be too simple. However, if users are already set up with social media and networds, About.me is a great option – especially if they are short on time. About.me will also allow users to see how many people are visiting their page by providing certain stats.

Flavors.me

Flavors.me does a great job at using social media. Website visitors are not taken away from the user’s page when clicking on the social network link, but rather to a side panel on the site. Setup is free and easy. There are not as many personalization options available, but what is available should do the trick.

Cardcloud, DooID, About.me, and Flavors.me are all great sites for users to show their business exists and is active. These sites offer easy to use tools and give users a clean cut look. If you can’t help potential clients, encourage them to inject some new life and vitality into their business by taking advantage of these free sites.

Madalin Tudose

A web developer with a crush on SEO. Having my skin in the game of website development and digital marketing for more than 10 years already, you might consider me an expert. At least this is what people call me. Honestly, I HATE that term. I prefer to describe myself as a person who takes action and risks. I test every hypothesis, document every step of the process, and implement what works.
