First step is to, obviously, download the theme. Once you got the package, unzip it and locate the monde.zip file, inside the Monde Theme folder.
Step 2: Install the Theme
Install the theme via WordPress dashboard
Go to Appearance->Themes, click on Add New: Upload Theme and upload the monde.zip file. Afterwards, click on the Activate button to activate the theme,
Install the theme via FTP
To install Monde via FTP, you need to use an FTP program/software like FileZilla or the FTP feature of your webhosting cPanel.
Unzip monde.zip and upload into wp-content/themes/ directory the monde/ folder. Then go back to the WordPress dashboard and activate the theme, from Appearance->Themes.
Installing the Plugins
Once you activate the theme, you`ll be prompted to install a series of plugins too(required and recommended), for getting the most out of the theme.
There are two required plugins: Kirki and Meta Box. The first one is responsible for the customizer options and the second one, for the homepage-blog template on-page options.
And there are three recommended plugins: Contact Form 7, Wp Instagram Widget and Mailchimp for Wp.
Contact Form 7 - create contact forms for your website
Wp Instagram Widget - allows you to add a widget of an Instagram feed
Mailchimp for Wp - gather email addresses, create forms which you can link to your MailChimp account.
So, please go to Appearance->Install Plugins and make sure that you install and activate these plugins.
Importing Demo Content
To import the demo content, locate inside the package you downloaded the Demo Content/monde-demo-content.xml file. Afterwards, go to Tools->Import: WordPress, install the importer and import the file.
Make sure to select the checkbox for importing attachments too, in order to import the images as well.
Setting up the Frontpage
You can set up a front page from Settings->Reading, like so:
Eventually, you could set up how many blog posts per page to display on the website, from the same window.
