13 Twitter Analytics Tools for Measuring Your Online Presence

For many of us Twitter has become a part of our lives. Thanks to Twitter, now it`s easy to connect with our friends and relatives and to share our thoughts and feelings with them and is obvious that these kind of networks are influencing the way we communicate and live.

Twitter helps you interact with people, but have you wondered how many people are seeing your tweets or where are they from or how you influence others? Well, there are a few tools which can analyze your twitter presence and you might be quite amazed about the data.

Although Twitter hasn`t launched their Analytics tool yet, others made use of the awesome Twitter API and built some apps. I want to present you 15 apps which I consider to be the best Twitter Analytics tools which can help you track your social media presence!

Twitter Counter

Twitter counter is a great web app which tracks statistics of twitter usage. Twitter Counter also offers a variety of widgets and buttons that people can add to their blogs, websites or social network profiles to show recent Twitter visitors and number of followers. It`s a great tool because doesn`t require any signups and the statistics are loaded very fast.


TweetStats supplies one of the first third-party Twitter applications to those who wish to find out basic statistics about their account including tweets per month and tweet density. TweetStats can also be used to monitor the status of other Twitter accounts as well. Users can check on the stats of their favorite brands, closest competitors, and up-and-coming companies they may have an interest in.


Twitgraph analyse your twitter account and provide statistics on how you use twitter. Twitgraph is generating statistics for tweets per day, top words and top ats(the @ symbol).

The Archivist

The Archivist is a service that uses the Twitter Search API to find and archive tweets. The Archivist creates visualizations which help you understand trends such as the number of Tweets over time, top users and words, urls, and more.


TweepsMap is an app which helps you see what country, state or city your followers are from. Data visualization can be on an interactive map, chart or list. This is a good tool for marketing purposes because you can analyze your followers to measure the effectiveness of your social media presence.


TwentyFeet is an online service that will help you keep track of your own social media activities and monitor your results. The Twitter data like is displayed in explanatory charts for twitter conversations, followers, influence and more. TwentyFeet is not offering statistics only for Twitter but can aggregates all your online stats like Google Analytics, Facebook and Youtube all in one place.


TweetReach is calculating how far your tweets are traveling. It`s a very useful tool for people who wants to measure the impact of social media conversations. It`s amazing to see how your tweets are exposed. I tested the app and I was quite impressed that the word “deliciousthemes” reached “50,975 people via 50 tweets”.


BrandTweet is generating statistics from your twitter account and creates charts with the network of your relevant contacts and their contacts and it can see who of your friends are online at the moment.


TwitSprout tracks your social media activity for any Twitter account and even Facebook Page. TwitSprout has a user-friendly interface and the data is very well presented. In fact, they`re proud to name the service as “The One Page Social Dashboard”.


Twitalyzer knows who is in your social network and is showing where they live too, allowing you to be more targeted in your outreach efforts. Twitalyzer can automatically process your account, send you email, and allow you to export your full data set.


Portwiture is a different kind of analytics service. Instead of presenting you the data in charts, graphs and tables, Portwiture grabs photography from Flickr that matches the content of your most recent Twitter updates. The result is a serendipitous visual representation of your Twitter profile.


MentionMap is a very unique way to see your twitter activity. Use Mentionmapp to see Twitter conversations as a network and click any user to explore. Each user is connected to the people and hashtags they mentioned the most in recent tweets.


Klout measures influence online using data from your social networks. Anywhere you have an online presence, you have the opportunity to influence people by creating or sharing content that inspires actions such as likes, retweets, comments and more. The more engagement your posts receive, the more influential you are. Klout uses this information to provide you a Klout Score that measures your overall influence.
